I recently took the Impressive Heat Embossing class for the Altenew Educator Certification Program. It was impressive. I have always liked embossing, but this class showed a lot of different ways, that I can’t wait to try. I used a dark card, and embossed with Versamark Ink. This created a darker tone on tone look.

I used an Altenew layer stamp. The first layer used a navy blue embossing powder. The 2nd layer was gold embossing powder. I did notice after every layer the cardstock warped more and more. That was in spite of heating up the embossing heat tool before I took it to the paper. I masked the flower and did the leaves the same way. I then added a sentiment with the gold also. You need to make sure the card is very dry after every layer and use powder to keep the versamark from picking up specks of embossing powder. Overall an easy fun card.
Hope you enjoy!
It took me a while to find out who you were, you forgot to add your name to the entry 🙂
Heat embossing over heat embossing can be difficult but you nailed it! And I love that colour!! Thank you for submitting your wonderful work to the AECP assignment gallery.
