I took a class from Altenew, Beautiful Details, and was wowed with the effects of using greys on cards. I tried one with a little blue just to add a little more. I started off by stamping in Grey with the full layer on the left, then the rest in the outline stamp. The stamp I used was the Altenew Grateful Heart stamp. You can tell this is a well used, stained stamp.

I then stamped the left hand bottom stamp with blue. I made several versions with different blues.

I then used a frame die and cut part of the card. The square that popped out I put foam on to give a little dimension. I glued the card with the flowers to another 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inch white cardstock. Then glued the piece with foam. It raised it a little. I then added a sentiment and a few crystals. This was a different type card for me, but I’m glad I tried it. Looking back I tend to like the darker blue color on the grey.
The Altenew Inks I used were Silver Lake and Sea Breeze.

Enjoy!
I do like the dark one too. Thank you for submitting your work to the AECP assignment gallery.
